Abstract

Blumemberg’s Translator, play by Juan Mayorga, has not received the same critical attention as other dramatist’s works. The article carries out an analysis of the text and of the philosophical sources that inspired its author and proposes an interpretation of it as an allegory of the translation process and its ethical implications.
