Poesia e musica. Il modello mariniano nell’Orfeo di Juan de Jáuregui

Abstract

The paper analyzes the relationship between the Juan de Jáuregui’s Orfeo and the Orfeo of Giovan Battista Marino, idyll that opens the Sampogna. Jáuregui, in fact, chose it as model to Orpheus’ concert, which takes place in the fourth canto of his poem. Both texts reveal a strong attention to musical aspect and this work confirms the significant influence of Marino, pointing out the direct contacts between the two performances of Orfeo.
